Our Story

The beautiful little girl pictured is the impetus to this company’s birth. She has eczema and was diagnosed by her mother who is a dermatologist. My wife -her mother- went about finding natural products that would work for her skin and settled on a product that was $30 for 2 oz. We thought that was ridiculous so I began researching ways to formulate products that would be good for sensitive skin. In my research, I was introduced to butters and carrier oils and our Body Butter was born.

I transitioned to hair products when my wife began looking for high quality hair care products for her type 3b/c hair and for that same little girl whose hair type is 3c/4a. Again she purchased some outrageously priced products and I decided to go back to the lab to create a high quality, but inexpensive product. In my body butter research, I also found information on making conditioners so we started there and from that we developed an entire line. 

Then came COVID……..and all the barbershops were closed. I typically get a haircut weekly and when everything shut down, so did my standing appointment with my barber. During that time my facial hair grew a lot and when businesses reopened, I decided to keep it. So, I went back into the lab to develop a beard care line based on formulations from the hair care line.

After some prodding by my wife I decided to try to sell my products. We started with market research among family and close friends to see if we had a viable product and WE DID!!! What sets us apart is many companies have to pay a dermatologist to put their stamp of approval on their products. Most times the dermatologist has never used them. Luckily, I am married to one who was the first person to use them…LOLOL!!! My wife was my product tester and also came up with the name of the business. She was a part of every aspect and I thank and appreciate her greatly for her honest opinions about how I could make the products better. We hope you enjoy!!!!
